![]() Highway 63 in the rolling hills of Iowa (and yes, Iowa does have rolling hills!) We opened our doors in 1988 and we’ve been serving quilt enthusiasts since then. Traer is a small, historic town located in the heart of farm country. They call our area “The Golden Buckle of the Farm Belt.” We’re a full service quilt shop with approximately 3000 bolts of fabric, lots of books, patterns and notions, plus a longarm custom machine quilting business in our back room. Best of all, we’ve got a staff who are willing to work hard to meet our customer’s needs. Our building, which is listed on the National Historic Register, is an ideal space for a quilt shop, with it’s original tin ceilings, woodwork, mirrors and built-in balcony (the balcony was made to order for displaying quilts!) Over the years we’ve become noted for our Stitches in Time quilt show (the 2nd weekend in November) and also for our Spring Quilter’s Retreat (in March). Our quilt show draws entrants and viewers from both the local area and several surrounding states, while the retreat has become an annual get-away for numerous quilters from all over. Our Midwestern, small town atmosphere and hospitality just seem to invite people to stay a while and visit! ![]() ![]() ![]() | Home | Catalog | About Us | Win! | Contact | Links | Map | Mystery Quilt | Blog | 319-478-2738 |
